On Tuesday, Sept 10 we gathered donors and partners together to officially kick-off our 2024-2025 annual campaign in Douglas County!
This year’s inaugural “Hangout at the Hangar,” hosted at the Lawrence Airport, gave donors a chance to get up-close and personal with various types of aircraft, while also learning more about what their dollars make possible in Douglas County.
Attendees also got the chance to dine on eats of Lawrence past, including recipes from Cornucopia, Paradise Café, and BleuJacket. All of course served conveniently in their in-flight dinner trays!
United Way of Kaw Valley CEO Jessica Lehnherr provided an update on the important work happening in Douglas County, and also introduced Campaign Chair Paul Davis. Douglas County Advisory Council Chair Brooklynne Mosley also challenged attendees to help meet this year’s campaign goal of $600,100.
