Basic Needs Grants Extended

Basic Needs Logo

Normally in October we are preparing to release a new Basic Needs Request for Proposals. This year, however, current grantees will receive a 6-month extension of their current grant to bring the Basic Needs proposal process onto United Way’s fiscal calendar along with impact grants. United Way helps meet our community’s most basic needs by supporting local partners that address rent/utility assistance, health care/prescription access and assistance, safety from domestic violence and food insecurity. United Way will release a new RFP in early 2020. Grant opportunities are posted when available at https://unitedwaytopeka.org/ci/apply/.

Current grantees are:

  • Boys & Girls Clubs of Topeka
  • Harvesters
  • Let’s Help
  • Meals on Wheels
  • Topeka Rescue Mission
  • Jefferson County Service Organization
  • Shawnee County Medical Society Foundation (HealthAccess)
