Early Literacy Work is Focus of New Grant
The Kansas Health Foundation recently approved more than $2.7 million in funding that will be distributed to several communities and organizations throughout Kansas. United Way and local partners will receive $300,000 of that total. The money is specifically geared toward improving early childhood literacy and kindergarten readiness, according to a news release from the foundation.
