With the end of the year approaching, we wanted to share a reminder that changes in tax law this year made it possible for more donors to take advantage of charitable deductions!
If you are a non-itemizer (like most of us), you typically would have to meet a higher threshold in order to claim your donations as deductions. However, this year the CARES Act allows individuals who do not itemize to claim a deduction for up to $300 in donations made by December 31 of this year.
If you would like to invest in the education, financial stability, and health of our community with your year-end gift, you can give at: http://bit.ly/GiveTopeka.
We' are about halfway through the campaign this year, and our community has committed $804,732.52 As we start to build back from this pandemic, your support will mean more than ever to the success of our work in education, financial stability and health.
