Volunteers Needed: Born Learning Trail Refresh JUNE 9
The Born Learning Trail has a special place in our United Way heart. This interactive trail opened in 2014 behind the Pine Ridge Prep Preschool to give young children and their caregivers a fun way to play and learn together. Since then the trail and playground have become a gathering place for a revitalized Pine Ridge neighborhod, hosting preschool graduation, National Night Out cookouts and United Way Young Leaders Society's Trick-or-Treat on the Trail, as well as a fun place for kids to play all year long.
To celebrate a return to in-person volunteering after the pandemic, and in conjunction with this year's Day of Giving, United Way of Greater Topeka invites you to help freshen up this community resource. We'll be cleaning, painting, mulching, weeding, and even playing in the sandbox!
