Ready to Volunteer?
Thanks to everyone who signed up for an account last month on TopekaVolunteers.org—we had a great time interacting with almost 100 people in our virtual volunteer fair.
So far more than 2,800 people have signed up for their free account connecting them to 125 nonprofit agencies and groups that need volunteers. Each month TopekaVolunteers.org averages 3,500 views! That's a lot of sharing!
Right now there are 120 opportunities posted for both ongoing and one-time needs. It would take 940 individuals to fill them all! Here are just a few:
- Ongoing hygiene products drive at Robinson Middle School
- Regular volunteer shifts at the newly reopened Great Overland Station
- Delivering for Meals on Wheels
- Be a Virtual Mentor for Big Brothers/Big Sisters
- Refreshing the Born Learning Trail and playground at Pine Ridge Prep
