The Ad Astra Volunteer Awards Are Back
As we gear up for our biggest volunteer day of the year, Nancy Perry Day of Caring on September 24, we need YOU to help us recognize the outstanding volunteers in our community. Nominations are open now for the second year of our Ad Astra honors. (2020 Ad Astra winners Marlou Wegener and Angela Dake are pictured above.)
Volunteerism is woven into the fabric of our community and of United Way of Greater Topeka. It brings strength, color and texture to everything we do. When you and those around you serve, the impact goes beyond the agencies and individuals in our community and makes our community a better place for all. Ad Astra Honors will recognize community members who continually go above and beyond the call to support our neighbors in need.
This year we have added a youth award for volunteers 21 or younger.
Nominate your favorite volunteer in Shawnee, Jackson or Jefferson county using the links below. Nominated individuals will receive a full application to complete. Nominations are due by Wednesday, August 25. Awards will be presented September 24.
