Advocacy Alert: Family-Friendly Workplaces
UWGT advocates for systems change that creates a strong, healthy and equitable community. One of the ways to make families stronger and more stable is through the adoption of family-friendly workplace practices. UWGT supports and will be participating in Kansas Power of the Positive's Family Friendly Workplaces Campaign. Family-friendly workplaces support a parent’s ability to provide a safe, stable, nurturing environment for their children. This campaign supports Kansas workplaces in creating conditions that not only strengthen families, but increase recruitment, retention, and productivity in the workplace.
This campaign platform is made possible through Kansas Power of the Positive in partnership with Norton Community Foundation, Kansas Children’s Service League, the Kansas Department of Health and Environment, and the WSU Community Engagement Institute.
