For most of us, getting back to “normal” is good. But for those who struggle in our community, “normal” has never been something to look forward to. For hungry kids, a school day never seems to end. For a single working parent, normal might mean constant prayers that the money will last until the next payday. For seniors on a fixed income, normal might mean choosing the electric bill instead of blood pressure medication.
As our community moves forward, we cannot forget those whose “normal” is filled with constant stress and fear.
There’s good news, though—it’s so easy to help! Over the past two years, United Way of Greater Topeka has been building an unbreakable network of support. We have connected partners in new ways, brought new voices to the table, and broken down barriers.
On June 8 we invite you to become part of that unbreakable network! Join your friends and neighbors for our third annual #YOUnitedWayTopeka Day of Giving. This online day is dedicated to fighting for the education, financial stability and health of everyone in our community.
On that day, you can give our community the critical support it needs to move forward. Match gifts will be available to make your dollars go even further. Discover the different ways you can help at UWGTDayOfGiving.org.
