At the beginning of November, we set BIG goals for #GivingTuesday. We know our volunteers and donors are ready to take on big challenges, and you did not disappoint!
By the end of Giving Tuesday, you had adopted 1,043 Christmas Bureau families! (And just yesterday we were able to match our final families with adopters!) That means thousands of individuals across Shawnee County will get to experience the joy of the holiday season this year.
You also donated $2,075 toward Dolly Parton’s Imagination Library in Shawnee County! That’s enough to provide 16 kids in our community with one free book a month from birth to age five.
Donors like you also invested $1,110 in Douglas County’s Racial Equity Grant Fund. That puts Douglas County that much closer to offering another $5,000 Racial Equity Grant. Racial Equity Grants support projects that build community, leadership, and direct supports for all marginalized community groups.
If you missed your opportunity to participate in Giving Tuesday, there’s still time to show your support! You can give to Dolly Parton’s Imagination Library at https://bit.ly/uwgtgivingtuesday22 or donate to the Racial Equity grant fund at https://bit.ly/UWKV_RacialEquity.
