Thanks to the 50+ supporters who came to kick off the 2023-24 Douglas County campaign season at the Adams Alumni Center on Augusts 16. Our most exciting news of the evening was to announce that Mark Buhler stepped up to serve as this year's Campaign Chair in Douglas County! Mark works for CEK Insurance and has lived in Lawrence since 1958. He attended Lawrence schools and is a graduate of KU. Mark has a long history of community service and has served Lawrence and Douglas County on the Planning Commission, the Douglas County Commission and the Kansas Senate. We can't thank him enough for lending his voice to the campaign as we look forward to our first full season as United Way of Kaw Valley.
