Five Topeka restaurants are helping United Way close the literacy gap in Shawnee County. Dining for Dolly began May 3 at Buffalo Wild Wings and wraps up May 25 at HHB BBQ downtown. Each restaurant is donating a portion of their sales on one Dining for Dolly day to Dolly Parton's Imagination Library in Shawnee County.
We had great turnout at our first two events thanks to Buffalo Wild Wings and The Lazy Toad. The next event is from 4 to 11 p.m. Wednesday, May 17 at On The Border in Topeka.
Dining for Dolly wraps up with the final two events:
Dining for Dolly is one of United Way's "effortless impact" options--ways that anyone can support education, financial stability, health and basic needs just by doing things they do every day. And while Dining for Dolly events are very time-limited, there are more ways to help all year long, including Dillons Community Rewards, Amazon Smile and Goodsearch.
