Our #YOUnitedWay of Kaw Valley Day of Giving is coming up June 5! This is a 24-hour opportunity for you to invest in strong, healthy and equitable communities as we approach the end of our annual campaign. All day long you’ll have the opportunity to give to various parts of our work AND have your dollars matched!
How to Give
You can make your gift online at UWKVDayofGiving.org. The site is open now for you to browse projects ahead of the Day of Giving, and see where your gift can be matched!
See Glass Animals—VIP style!
All donors on the Day of Giving will be entered to win two reserved box seats to see Glass Animals perform this summer at Azura Amphitheater! Special thanks to Azura for their generous donation of this package.
Help Spread the Word
Feel free to post on social media in the lead-up to and on the Day of Giving to share your suport for United Way’s work. As you post, go ahead and tag us and use the hashtag #YOUnitedWay. We also are proud to partner again with Great Plains Media for a radiothon on the Day of Giving in Lawrence and Douglas County! Tune in to 92.9 FM, 101.7 FM/AM 1320, or 105.9 FM all day long on the Day of Giving to learn more about the impact your gifts make in Douglas County. You’ll have the chance to hear from Douglas County partner agencies, volunteers, and other friends!
Join Jayhawks and Youth Service Coalition in Giving Back
The Day of Giving will also kick-off a multi-day food drive at Checkers in Lawrence! We are proud to partner with Mass St. Collective to bring Jayhawk student athletes (including members of the bowl-winning Jayhawk football team!) together to assist with this drive. Come meet the Jayhawks and drop off your items between 2 and 4 pm on the Day of Giving. Middle and high schoolers, this is a great way to get involved with Youth Service Coalition and summer service activities! (See our webpage for more information: https://www.uwkawvalley.org/ysc.
