Mark your calendars for another professional development opportunity created with the nonprofit community in mind.
With the help of a grant from the Kansas Volunteer Commission, we are again using the week of Martin Luther King Jr. Day to explore best practices for volunteers and volunteer engagement. Topics and the agenda will be announced soon, but you can reserve Wednesday, January 22 for this local and affordable opportunity for learning and service. The anticipated time frame is 9 am to 1 pm, including a keynote presentation, lunch and a service project for Harvesters, which is hosting the workshop at their new Lawrence facility.
We hope you will make plans to join us for dialogue and service as we honor the legacy of Dr. King and his concept of "beloved community."
