Our Jackson County Advisory Committee earmarked $1,300 raised in Jackson County to provide a match incentive to this year's Thoughtful Day of Giving with the Jackson County Community Foundation. UWKV's match enhanced donations to the Community Foundation's Washburn Tech Assistance Funds. Thank you to our Jackson County donors--your generosity allows us the flexibility to support efforts like this and 

 

The total amount raised for the day was $243,807.54. More than $4,000 of those dollars went to three schools receiving Washburn Tech Assistance Fund contributions:

These dollars help students access training programs at Washburn Tech to gain necessary workforce skills and be more financially stable. For many students, this is truly a pathway out of poverty.
