As we reach the halfway point of our annual campaign, we want to thank our donors who have invested in our community! Whether you give through your workplace campaign or through a monthly gift, Donor Advised Fund, or other means, your investment powers our work to build strong, healthy and equitable communities. You can check out our recent Facebook Live video update with our Campaign Chairs Marlou Wegener and Paul Davis at https://www.facebook.com/share/v/159Svpd1Ea/.
Shawnee/Jefferson County
In Shawnee/Jefferson County, you have raised $867,329.50 toward our $1.7 million goal. That’s enough to provide 8,634 meals at a time when food insecurity remains at an all-time high. Because of you, 82 kids and their families can have access to the best possible start through home visitation and early education opportunities.
Douglas County
In Douglas County, you have raised $330,482.26 toward our $600,100 goal. That’s enough to provide 33 kids and their families with access to high-quality childcare, in order to have a successful start to life. That also provides 550 individuals with access to services through our Racial Equity grants.
In addition, your dollars across all of our communities power our work in strategic volunteer engagement, including our KawValleyVolunteers.org website. In the last 6 months, we’ve seen over 1,000 responses to volunteer needs posted on the website, accounting for thousands of volunteer hours.
Track Your Status Online
You can keep track of the status of our campaign online at https://www.uwkawvalley.org/yourimpact. At this page you’ll be able to track not only the dollars raised, but the impact those dollars make in the community. Check back every other week as the page is updated to reflect new dollars collected.
It’s still not too late to invest in this year’s campaign. You can make a gift online at https://www.uwkawvalley.org/give.
If your business is interested in getting involved, either through workplace campaign or Small Business United, you can reach out to one of our Resource Development staff members:
