United Way of Kaw Valley’s Day of Giving is coming up on Wednesday, June 4, 2025, and we need your help!
The Day of Giving is a fun 24-hour period where individuals have the opportunity to donate to United Way. The day includes match gift opportunities, as well as the chance to invest in specific parts of our work. In addition to giving to the general fund for each county, donors can select from eight other areas of our work to support.
If you are a fan of our work, we invite you to sign up as a "Champion" for one of our giving areas. Champions help promote the Day of Giving as well as help us reach out to new donors who may not yet know much about United Way of Kaw Valley.
What is a Champion? A Champion commits to raising awareness about one of our specific giving areas in the lead-up to and on the Day of Giving. They use the tools provided to reach out to friends, colleagues, and others in their networks to promote giving to that specific area.
Champions receive a Day of Giving toolkit containing:
- Data and stories related to your giving area
- Templates for social media communications, email communications, etc, related to your area
- Regular communication from UWKV staff about the Day of Giving that you can share with your networks
