Everything You Need to Know for the 2025 Day of Giving
Our 6th Annual #YOUnitedWay of Kaw Valley Day of Giving is coming up June 4! We are looking forward to an exciting day with up to 12 different options for how you can invest your dollars across the four counties that we serve! See below for everything you need to know for this year’s Day of Giving.
How to Give
Give online at UWKVDayOfGiving.org, the website is available now for you to browse and see where you would like to make your gift on the Day of Giving
Every dollar raised gets us closer to our $40,000 goal
What’s In It for Me
- In addition to getting to invest in healthy and resilient communities, there are several incentives available to help make your day fun AND meaningful!
- $5,100 in matching funds are available to make your gift go even further!
- ALL donors will be entered into a chance to win two reserved box seat tickets to see Cyndi Lauper perform at Azura Amphitheater on August 9, thanks to our friends from Azura Credit Union!
How to Stay Informed
- Tune in to WIBW TV in the lead-up to the Day of Giving and on the day to hear stories from our partner agencies about what your dollars make possible
- On the radio, tune in to any of the Great Plains Media stations (105.9 KISS FM, KLWN, or 92.9 FM) to hear stories from our Douglas County partners about what your dollars make possible in Douglas County
Change for Change
Got some spare change? You can drop your change in jars throughout Topeka and Lawrence all throughout the month of May – all totals collected will be counted toward the Day of Giving! See jars at the following locations:

Checker’s Food Drive (Lawrence)
From June 2 to the Day of Giving on June 4, stop by Checker’s in Lawrence to donate food items toward a food drive for Just Food! Look for the bins located at the front of the store to drop-off your donated items.
Visit the Burger Bus (Topeka)
The Burger Bus food truck will be in the parking lot of our Topeka office at 1527 SW Fairlawn Rd from 11 am to 1 pm on the Day of Giving! 10% of all proceeds during that time will benefit the Day of Giving!
Visit Brain Freeze (Lawrence)
The Brain Freeze food truck will be in the parking lot of our Lawrence office at 1127 Iowa St from 11 am to 2 pm on the Day of Giving! A portion of the proceeds during that time will benefit Douglas County on the Day of Giving!
