Thanks to our Bonner Leader Wren Larson for sharing some LiveWell updates from the past month.
LiveWell Goes to Washington
LiveWell took a field trip last week! As a Food Secure Communities grant recipient, our director, Sarah, was able to represent Shawnee County in Washington D.C. with the Kansas Food Action Network. We participated in the Food Research & Action Center's National Anti-Hunger Policy Conference. The information shared and networking among local and national partners was an encouraging and motivating experience.
Jaiden finished her internship! Thank you to Jaiden Roff for all of the work she did for her internship with LiveWell. She should be incredibly proud of all she accomplished. Wishing her success in her next chapter!
Third Food Pantry Convening
For the third time, LiveWell Shawnee County and several local Topekan food pantries met to strengthen their collective impact in the community. This convening provided an opportunity to share resources, exchange ideas, and collaborate on solutions to better serve those in need. With each gathering, the network grows stronger, ensuring more families receive the support they deserve.
Formerly Heartland Healthy Neighborhoods, LiveWell Shawnee County is the community health coalition in Topeka and Shawnee County, Kansas. Our coalition is focused on mobilizing people, ideas and resources around topics and issues identified throughout our communities, and working towards solutions that address them.
