Double Your Gift in Support of Community Resource Navigation!

Dec Newsletter_Community Navigation.png

Recently, we got to announce an exciting new phase of our work in Community Resource Navigation! (Read more about the expansion here.)

With the hiring of Heather Coates, our new Director of Community Resource Navigation, and a significant investment from our partners at Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Kansas, we are excited to expand our Community Navigation program in Douglas County.

Rooted in the communities they serve, navigators guide families through complex systems to access vital resources. Navigators not only support families but also increase nonprofit efficiency by allowing agencies to serve more people, faster.

From now through the end of the year, you have an exciting opportunity to invest in this work through the Douglas County Community Foundation’s Giving for Good campaign!

Here’s how it works:

  • Make your gift online through the Douglas County Community Foundation’s portal here: https://dccfoundation.fcsuite.com/erp/donate/create/grant?grant_id=53477
  • For every donation made, up to $5,000 total, the Community Foundation will make a matching donation to UWKV’s fund at the Community Foundation

This is a great way to maximize your giving, while investing in a critical resource for Douglas County families. If you have any questions about Community Navigation, you can reach out to Heather Coates at hcoates@uwkawvalley.org or by calling 785-228-1001.
