Welcome

Recycled Rides Spring Nominations Due March 30

recycled rides recipients 21 and 22 with Kimberly Wolff

Each fall and spring Washburn Tech’s Recycled Rides program helps put reliable cars back on the road for the benefit of an individual or nonprofit group for whom transportation can be a life-changing gift. Washburn Tech students in auto collision and auto service technology work with licensed technicians to refurbish cars for families in need. Washburn Tech was the first educational institution in the nation to participate in Recycled Rides, a National Auto Body Council program, in which students and their mentors repair donated vehicles. It’s real-world work that’s touching real lives.

To nominate a deserving individual or nonprofit organization, please download/print the appropriate form from our web page, https://unitedwaytopeka.org/recycledrides/, and submit with copy of the nominee’s valid driver’s license by March 30, 2018 to United Way of Greater Topeka – 1315 SW Arrowhead Road, Topeka, KS 66604 – Attention:  Joyce Katzer OR email to joyce.katzer@unitedwaytopeka.org. Please also read the requirements for nominees below.

Nominating an individual as a surprise? Please email Kimberly Wolff about options for providing proof of driver’s license. Include “Recycled Rides Nomination” in your subject line. Awards cannot be finalized without proof of license.
