Now, imagine the "unbreakable network" that holds them all together. Connecting food pantries, early education, financial education, job readiness, rent and utility assistance, resource navigation services and more.
That is United Way of Kaw Valley. We rarely talk about ourselves because our mission is to lift up our partners and keep the community at the center. But as we approach our Day of Giving on June 10, we have to be honest: the organizations that serve our region depend on the success of this campaign to do their vital work.
This is our final, most critical push for this fiscal year. It is the moment where we ensure that no matter what happens in Douglas, Jackson, Jefferson, or Shawnee counties, the resources will be there to meet the needs.
This year, you can choose to give directly to your county. It is a way to ensure your own "home" remains resilient. Matching gifts are also available to amplify your generosity. A gift of $25 or $100 is a lifeline that goes twice as far.
How many lives can we change in a single day? On June 10, let's find out together! Follow us on our social media channels for additional activities planned for June 10.
Join the unbreakable network at UWKVDayofGiving.org. (All gifts made through this link will be counted in our Day of Giving total no matter what day you give!)
