We're going back to the Topeka Zoo for "Wild About Reading!" From 9 am to 1 pm on July 9, community partners want to see kids engaging their summer learning brains at this annual event. More admission details coming soon on United Way of Kaw Valley social media channels.
Community partners will be at the zoo to hand out books, activities, and resources to families from 9 a.m. until 1 p.m. We will also have free sack lunches for kids 18 and under courtesy of Sam's Club of Topeka!
This event is made possible by the Book Rich Environment initiative in partnership with Topeka Housing Authority, United Way of Kaw Valley, and the Topeka and Shawnee County Public Library. Events like Wild About Reading and collaborations like the Book Rich Environment are part of ongoing work in Youth Opportunity.
