NPDoC T Graphic 2018

Nancy Perry Day of Caring is Friday, September 14. Our volunteers will rock the kickoff breakfast with a very special lip sync battle featuring three teams:

  • Livin' United (United Way of Greater Topeka)
  • Run THA, feat. S.H.E.L.T.E.R. (Topeka Housing Authority)
  • Mostly Blue Crue (Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Kansas)

 After breakfast, hundreds of volunteers will fan out across Shawnee County for half-day and full day volunteer projects. Thanks to our sponsors:

2018 Annual Meeting invite

 

"The Momentum of Giving Back" is the focus of this year's Annual Meeting on Thursday, September 20. After lunch and the election of new board members, WIBW anchor Melissa Brunner will moderate a panel of local business leaders who will share how their organizations incorporate employee volunteering and charitable giving into their overall business model. Our panelists are:

  • Matt All, Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Kansas
  • Dr. Tiffany Anderson, Topeka Public Schools
  • John Dicus, Capitol Federal
  • Allan Towle, Fidelity State Bank and Trust Company

Workplace Campaign season is here, and our Ambassadors are ready to help! If you haven't heard from an Ambassador yet about running a workplace campaign, or if you want to run a campaign for the very first time, just call or email AJ Patterson at aj.patterson@unitedwaytopeka.org or 785.228.5117.

 

Lunch and Learn with Megan Jones happens on Wednesday September 6. Join us for an informative lunch and learn session with Megan Jones, Founder and President of the Jones Advisory Group. Megan will help you understand how recent tax reform could impact your charitable giving opportunities and estate planning. Christmas Bureau Logo

Christmas Bureau is right around the corner. Adoption applications will be accepted in the second half of October, and adopters can sign up as soon as that process is completed. Information for 2018 will be posted soon on our website.
