Check Out Our Revamped Campaign Ambassador Opportunity

August is the start of a new workplace camapaign season here at United Way. Each year, we reach out to businesses across our four counties with the opportunity to unite their employees around community giving. More than a fundraiser, a United Way workplace campaigns are a chance to learn about community programs and resources and support those programs through payroll deduction.

Each year we also rely on Campaign Ambassdors to help us reach more companies and support their workplace campaigns. And while Campaign Ambassadors used to come primarily from local businesses, we have seen an increase in interest from retirees and other community members outside the workplace. So we've made some significant changes to our system to make it easier to participate.

We've condensed our training so you are ready to get to work faster. Participation is more flexible than ever. We're looking for enthusiastic volunteers who believe in our work and want to be out in the community connecting with companies large and small. Ambassadors usually work from August to mid-November and are guided every step of the way by our Resource Development Team.

For more information on serving your community as a United Way Campaign Ambassador volunteer, please contact Jenna Gorton in Shawnee, Jackson or Jefferson County, and Judy Riling in Douglas County.
