Don't Miss Your Chance--Grant Slam is Coming!
Want to build a healthy and resilient Douglas County? Then you need to be part of United Way of Kaw Valley's first-ever Grant Slam! Think of it like a poetry slam--live, creative, and potentially life-changing.
On October 21st at Maceli’s, selected human service organizations will take the stage to share their impact stories and compete for grant awards. It promises to be a lively, meaningful evening filled with community connection, inspiration, and fun.
Your participation will help make this first Grant Slam a success. Please consider purchasing a table and inviting friends, colleagues, emerging leaders, or family members who would enjoy learning more about UWKV’s work and vision for the future. This is a welcoming and affordable way to bring people together in support of our community. Tables of eight are $500, and individual tickets are $65.
Our Douglas County Advisory Board will select four nonprofit organizations to compete, and a panel of local celebrity judges will determine the award placements. Every participating organization will receive an award, and guests will also help choose a “People’s Choice” winner. Music, dinner, and good fellowship throughout the evening will ensure a memorable celebration of the organizations making a difference in our community.
