It was a big week in Jackson County, with Holton Hospital and Farmers State Bank running their workplace campaigns. If you live or work in Jackson County but don't have the option to join a workplace campaign, you can easily donate online at GiveJacksonCO.com or just give our office a call at 785.273.4804 for other donation options.
In 2012, Jackson County officially became part of United Way of Greater Topeka. That year United Way awarded $7,000 to the Jackson County Christmas Bureau. A year later, two Jackson County residents joined the United Way Board of Directors, and a Jackson County Advisory Committee was established. Information about Jackson County can be found on our website at https://unitedwaytopeka.org/jacoimpact/.
Money raised through the Jackson County campaign supports basic needs work in food assistance, rent and utilities assistance, and access to healthcare and prescription assistance. Starting March 28, investment panel volunteers from Jackson County will meet to discuss proposals submitted to the current Jackson County Request for Proposals.
Jackson County was also featured on United Way Wednesday with advisory council member and UWGT board member Tonya Barta from Farmers State Bank. If you missed the premier of this interview, you can watch the conversation in the archive at https://t.co/aHQcekuMWP
