On March 17, 2020, our community faced a crisis unlike any other. With schools shutting down, offices sending employees home, and an uncertain future ahead, we convened a Zoom call with a dozen partner agencies to plan and coordinate a response to the growing COVID-19 crisis.
That call turned into a weekly conversation and expanded to included dozens of agencies, businesses, government officials, and more. More 100 weeks later, that weekly Tuesday collaboration continues. Over those two years, we've brainstormed challenges, formed new partnerships, connected agencies to funding opportunities, been challenged and challenged others to think differently about how we deliver services, and so much more.
When we talk about our role as a community convener, this is what we mean: bringing together partners to tackle challenges too big for any one agency or individual. When we talk about building an "unbreakable network of support" in our aspirational statement, this is what we mean. This is the kind of transformational collaboration that your dollars support.
It's our honor to do this work, and we will keep doing it "until the fight is won."
