More than 200 curious future volunteers stopped by the first in-person version of Topeka Volunteers: The Event at Fairlawn Plaza om April 21. More than 40 nonprofit organizations provided information tables.
The event even had an official ribbon cutting courtesy of the Greater Topeka Partnership. Check out the video on the GTP Facebook page.
Reaction from attendees and partners was positive, and plans are already in the works for April 2023 during our annual Volunteer Appreciation Month.
Thanks to our sponsors and to the Fairlawn merchants who donated door prizes: Home At Last, Red Door Home Store, and Amanda’s Bakery Creations.
Next on our Volunteer Engagement calendar is a July offering of Board Leadership training and then our favorite day of the year: Nancy Perry Day of Caring on Friday, September 23! Or find volunteer opportunities anytime at TopekaVolunteers.org!
