I’m Jacqueline Lightcap and I’m excited to join the United Way in the role of VGF Volunteer Coordinator.
I’m a proud Kansas native, living in Topeka over half of my life. My degree in public relations led to several years in the world of print media, advertising, and marketing. I eventually found my home in the non-profit world, sometimes as an employee and often as a volunteer. In addition to raising two teenagers with my husband, I serve as co-president of the League of Women Voters of Kansas in a volunteer capacity, as well as president of the USD 437 Auburn-Washburn school board.
I am a member of the Topeka-Shawnee County League of Women Voters, am involved with my faith community at Grace Episcopal Cathedral and was appointed to the Kansas Behavioral Sciences Regulatory Board in July of 2020. I’m looking forward to engaging more with our amazing, generous community while spreading the word about the power of volunteerism!
