November means saying thank you and see you later (it’s never really goodbye with us) to our amazingly valuable and talented Campaign Ambassadors. They’ve been sharing our message of strong, healthy and equitable communities with companies across Shawnee and Douglas County since August. They allow us to connect with donors, volunteers and advocates in the workplace at a far greater rate than our small staff could on its own.
They are our connectors and our voice in this critical fundraising period. Their hard work will translate into community investment in Childhood Success, Family Success, Family Support/Basic Needs, and Equity. They make presentations, they carry boxes, they eat chili, they deliver supplies for volunteer projects, and they just plain show up with enthusiasm for work.
Please join us in thanking them, and in many cases, their employers, who graciously allowed them to use work time to support United Way.
