Our biggest volunteer event of the year is almost here! Nancy Perry Day of Caring (so named in honor of long-time United Way of Greater Topeka CEO Nancy Perry) returns Friday, September 19 with hundreds of volunteers set to get things done for our local nonprofit community.
For the second year, the generosity will spill over into a second day, with select projects also happening on the Thursday before the main event. Thursday opportunities help accommodate the workplaces in our area that provide a hybrid work from home schedule, which means their employees often don't work from their central office on Fridays.
For those volunteers who can join us, we'll kick off Friday's efforts with our traditional breakfast, hosted this year at the new Topeka Social event space. We'll have a hot breakfast catered by our favorite Chef Sean, hear from our Platinum Sponsor Security Benefit, and present our Ad Astra Volunteer Honors. Find all the breakfast details in our Facebook event: https://www.facebook.com/share/1CYNfa7DfE/.
Volunteer spots are still available! Free Day of Caring t-shirts are guaranteed to those who register by 8/29, but opportunities will stay open until September 5.
The capacity building power of Day of Caring would not happen without the generous support of our dedicated sponsors, led once again by Platinum Sponsor Security Benefit. Thank you to all our sponsors for energizing our annual day of service!
