Welcome

April is Volunteer Appreciation Month

Join us starting April 4 for a month-long celebration of all things volunteer. Meet some of our volunteers on our social media channels, tune into special United Way Wednesday episodes focused on volunteering, and mark your calendar to join us on Thursday, April 21, for our first (finally!) in-person Topeka Volunteers event at Fairlawn Plaza.

Topeka Volunteers event logo with dateIf you’ve ever wanted to volunteer but weren’t sure how to get started, Topeka Volunteers: The Event has your answers! Come visit with representatives from 50 local groups and agencies and learn how volunteers make their work possible. We can also show you how to get connected online using TopekaVolunteers.org, our volunteer portal where you can browse opportunities, sign up for a shift and even see exactly what your volunteer time is worth in our community.

We’ll be at Fairlawn Plaza from 11 am to 5:30 pm—stop by any time! It’s free, and potential volunteers of any age are welcome! If you have questions, please email Jess Barraclough.
