United Way of Greater Topeka is excited to welcome Mallory Keeffe to our volunteer engagement team as the part-time VGF Volunteer Coordinator . Mallory will be helping Jess Barraclough, our Director of Volunteer Engagement and working with community agencies to recruit and support volunteers using our free online platform, TopekaVolunteers.org.
As the VGF Grant Coordinator, Mallory will manage, recruit and retain volunteers for the new Volunteer Ambassador program, positioning United Way of Greater Topeka as the premier community mobilizer of volunteers. Her position is designed to build community capacity to plan, lead and effectively manage volunteers by providing training, consultation and technical assistance to key community partners. Mallory also will manage and train users on best practices of the Topekavolunteers.org platform.
If an agency has a volunteer need, but needs help navigating and using TopekaVolunteers.org, she and This program is supported with dollars from the Volunteer Generations Fund Grant - managed by the Kansas Volunteer Commission. We are excited to work with community partners to help them strengthen their organization and the services they provide to our community.
Mallory is a long time Topekan and a clinical social worker who has worked in several different non-profit agencies over the past 15 years. She currently works in child welfare as a clinical supervisor. She has twin 8-year-old girls who keep her active and busy! She has worked with United Way in several capacities over the years and says she is excited to officially be a part of the team.
